When it comes to the Port Douglas Shire and Port Douglas, no other lawyer has as much experience and success as Arthur Timms.
A true gentleman in his field, Arthur has spent over 35 years in Cairns and the Douglas Shire, expanding upon his extensive local knowledge and business contacts. Arthur has had a role in virtually every major development in Port Douglas in the past 25 years including work with real estate developer Christopher Skase and John Morris, the father figure of the Douglas Shire before the region became world renowned. Arthur has also had a close association with the rural community for many years.
Prior to a career with Marino Moller Lawyers as head consultant in the Port Douglas office, Arthur ran a successful partnership with Darryl Greer. The law firm known as Greer and Timms was located in the heart of Port Douglas for many years
Arthur is the honorary solicitor to many non-profit sporting and charitable organisations in the Douglas Shire and a number of these organisations have included Port Douglas & Daintree Tourism Association, Douglas Historical Society, Douglas Cricket Association Inc and Port Douglas Australian Football League.
