Arthur Timms – Consultant

Arthur has spent over 35 years in Cairns and the Douglas Shire, expanding his extensive local knowledge and business contacts. Arthur has played a role in virtually every major development in Port Douglas in the past 25 years and has held a close association with the rural community since.
Arthur is the honorary solicitor to many non-profit sporting and charitable organisations in the Douglas Shire, including Port Douglas & Daintree Tourism Association, Douglas Historical Society, and Douglas Cricket Association.
Prior to a career with Marino Moller Lawyers as head consultant in the Port Douglas office, Arthur ran a successful partnership with Darryl Greer. The law firm known as Greer and Timms was located in the heart of Port Douglas for many years.
Arthur Timms is one of the region's legal experts and a valuable asset to Marino Moller Lawyers.

Clients
- Arthur’s clients include a number of large developers, tourism operators and non-profit organisations. Recently Arthur acted on behalf of a client for the purchase of a resort and tourism business. This involved the transfer of a crown lease, associated crown permits to occupy, sub-lease of shops, Great Barrier Reef Marine Park authority permits, transfer of business assets and all associated licenses. Settlement was effected according to the terms of the contract which resulted in a smooth transfer of the title and the operation of the businesses to the client.
