Bob Owen

  • Bob Owen, adds a refreshing new dimension to the team of Marino Moller solicitors given his diverse career background.  A former school principal, an elected Councillor with a regional Shire,  and now a Solicitor with First Class Honours, Bob’s experience gives him an in-depth understanding and first-hand knowledge of issues facing local governments, developers, and clients in urban, rural and remote areas.

    Bob’s area of expertise is in the Planning and Environment, and Local Government practices. Bob conducts appeals in the Planning and Environment Court, as well as prosecutions under the Integrated Planning Act, Environmental Protection Act and local laws in the Magistrates Court.

    Bob has extensive experience in drafting and amending local laws for a wide range of Councils. He also advises many local government clients on a wide range of issues under the Local Government Act and other State and Commonwealth legislation, including, for example, electoral matters, material personal interests, tenders, rates, contracts, freedom of information, judicial review, contamination of land and so on.

    With a customer service ethic to match the best in the business, Bob’s long term future within the firm is guaranteed.
