Thomas Cameron – Solicitor
-
Thomas is admitted to practice as a solicitor in the jurisdiction of Queensland and Tasmania as well as being registered on the roll of the High Court of Australia.
Prior to joining Marino Moller, Thomas practiced law for two years in Tasmania as a litigation and family lawyer, with a specialist family law firm.
Thomas practices across a broad range of legal fields. He specialises in the areas of commercial litigation, family law, traffic offences and selective criminal matters. He frequently appears in court, at tribunals and at mediation.
Thomas takes a proactive stance with his clients in order to achieve early and positive results, effectively saving his clients time and money.
Areas of law
- Commercial, Property law, Contract and Miscellaneous Civil Litigation;
- Family law – Children’s and Property Matters;
- Minor (Summary) Criminal Matters;
- General Advocacy.
Clients
-
Thomas’ clients include large and small companies, body corporate entities, trustees, community-based organisations, residential owners, tenants and private individuals. More recently Thomas represented a tenant of a property from whom a landlord was considering seeking damages. Thomas was able to establish early on that the client was not liable for payment of these costs, and therefore was not subject to any further enquiries. No client is too big or too small and all deserve to have their legal rights protected.
In a separate matter Thomas represented a client who was seeking advice relating to rules of incorporated associations. As a result of Thomas’ advice to his client a decision was made by the committee of the association in line with the client’s position. The firm acts as honorary solicitor to many community groups and sporting organisations
